The PfCA

We're Here. We're Queer. We're Rural.

The Partnership for Community Action (PfCA) is a grassroots movement building a vibrant community for 2SLGBTQIA+ and Gender-Diverse people in rural Colorado. Since 2015, we have been creating safe, affirming spaces, coordinating events and educational opportunities, and providing essential support, resources, and advocacy to strengthen identity, cultivate belonging, and empower a resilient, inclusive future.

Our Mission & Values

The Partnership for Community Action (PfCA) is a grassroots movement of Queer and Gender-diverse people working towards liberation by amplifying our shared voice, building community, and connecting all 2SLGBTQIA+ people, their families, and allies in rural Colorado.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)

Our work is fundamentally rooted in the principles of DEIB—ensuring not just inclusion, but a true sense of belonging for every person we serve. We are driven by the lived experience of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults, local assessments, and trusted data, ensuring all our efforts actively challenge systemic inequities and foster truly welcoming and affirming environments across the region.

Our Pillars of Care

Our mission comes to life through distinct areas of focus, which we call our Pillars of Care. These pillars guide our programming and advocacy:

Affirming Spaces
Creating safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environments for connection and resource access (The OUTPost, YAS! Club).

Direct Resources
Providing tangible support to meet basic needs (Food Pantry, Rainbow Closet, Lending Library).

Health Equity
Removing barriers to comprehensive physical, sexual, and mental health services (BC4U, GetTestedChaffee.org, Itty Bitty Health Fair, Mobile Clinic).

Education & Training
Equipping allies, professionals, and organizations with the knowledge to create cultural fluency and support systems.

Advocacy & Power Building
Championing policies and initiatives that protect and empower the 2SLGBTQIA+ community at all levels.
