Summer at the OUTPost: Youth Camp

What to Expect:

Stop looking for where you fit in—this is it. Whether you’re here to join a D&D campaign, vibe on a nature walk, or just need a spot where your identity isn’t a question, the OUTPost is open.

No performance required. Just show up as you.

The Basics

  • Who: Ages 11+ (Middle & High Schoolers).

  • The Vibe: 5th–10th graders are our "regulars," but older folks are always welcome to drop in, grab some food, and hang out with the crew.

  • When: June 15 – August 6

  • Mon–Thu: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (The Daily Hang)

  • Fridays (YAS! Club): 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (more time for projects and personal time)

What’s Happening?

We’re not into "forced fun." Every day is a mix of whatever you're feeling:

  • The OUTPost Lab: Get messy with zines, murals, jewelry making, and DIY art.

  • Get Moving: Low-pressure nature walks and mobile activities on the Monarch Trail, picnics and games at Alpine Park, gardening at the OUTPost, and just getting outside without stress to read, relax, and share time with friends.

  • Game On: TTRPGs (D&D, etc.), board games, and outdoor games in the park.

  • Out & About: On occasion we’re hitting the arcade, the school gardens, the library, and more.

The Phamily Table (Free Lunch!) 🍕

Lunch is on us. We keep it real with "Table Talk"— lunch time conversations about the stuff that matters: identity, dreams, and our community.

A Note on Food: We provide the main meal and have plenty of water, juice, and sparkling water.

  • Heads up: If you have specific dietary needs or allergies, please pack your own lunch to stay safe!

  • Drinks: If you want a specific drink, feel free to bring it with you.

The OUTPost: No Lists. No Paperwork. Just Community.

We’re a Drop-In space. That means no registration forms, no signatures, and no databases. We are here to provide a safe space for youth—no strings attached.

How it works:

  1. Show Up: Mon–Thu (11–3) or Fri (10–6).

  2. Grab a Lanyard: We’ll help you make one for your important info. You keep it on your body.

  3. Eat & Play: Jump into the OUTPost Lab, the Family Table, or a D&D session.

Safety & Liability: By entering the OUTPost, you agree to our Community Agreement: Respect the space, respect each other, and protect each other’s privacy. Because we prioritize your safety from outside threats, we operate on a "mutual trust" basis for all park visits and nature walks.
