Our Key Training: 2SLGBTQIA+ Cultural Fluency Trainings

We are passionate about sharing what we've learned to help more people create welcoming spaces and effectively support 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. Our primary training, 2SLGBTQIA+ Cultural Fluency Training, focuses on building essential skills, understanding, and empathy. These comprehensive workshops empower participants to foster truly inclusive environments.

Our Cultural Fluency Trainings cover vital topics including:

  • Understanding 2SLGBTQIA+ Identities and Experiences: Gaining a deeper knowledge of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, and the unique joys and challenges faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, especially in rural settings.

  • Creating Safe & Affirming Spaces: Practical strategies for fostering environments where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults feel valued, respected, and safe from discrimination or harassment. This includes insights into language, communication, and inclusive practices.

  • Addressing Systemic Inequities (JEDI Principles in Practice): Exploring how Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) principles apply to 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, particularly concerning health disparities and social barriers.
