Ark Valley Helping Hands Wins Salida Soup 46
Three presenters became two, and diners had to choose in an either/or vote at Salida Soup 46 on March 21st. The Mountain MeetUp/Mountain Family Fair presentation informed the diners that they had already received funding to meet their needs, and asked that they not be included in the vote for the final Soup Pot of cash that night; rather, they wanted diners to choose between one of the other two presenters for the win. Ark Valley Helping Hands presented for the Embracing Aging Fair happening May 18th at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds, while Tina Gramann with Salida Creativity Lab presented for her upcoming interactive play “Mariposa’s Journey”, slated to show this fall.
It was another close vote, with Ark Valley Helping Hands coming out on top. Their total earnings of $725 includes the generous anonymous donation of $250 from a Salida community member.
Next Soup is April 18th - presenting are: Friends of Salida Skateparks, TINTS (Theater in Non-Traditional Spaces), and Salida Community Aerial Performance Film. Five dollars and a potluck item get you in the door - don’t miss it!
