NAMI Sweeps Salida Soup 43
Holiday cheer was in abundance at Salida Soup 43 on December 20th, as diners voted the Soup Pot earnings to the Salida chapter of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and their upcoming workshop programs. Eunice Collette, chapter president, accepted the award and expressed her gratitude for the diners’ generosity.
The Chipeta Mountain Project’s Mountain Heritage Park proposal was back again to present, as was local favorite Arctic fox Dermott (and the Colorado Animal Rescue Center) - each organization spoke to the diners of their plans and requests, but it was the NAMI workshop program that garnered the most votes.
Many thanks as always to our supporters who keep the Soup a viable and important part of the Salida community. Be sure to come to Salida Soup 44 - Feed The Future, to hear about the coming year for the Partnership for Community Action and its programs and initiatives!
