Colorado Farm to Table Wins Salida Soup 34!

Raising nearly the exact amount they requested, Colorado Farm to Table walked away with the Soup pot last night in another close vote. Just edging out the SHS Knowledge Bowl Team and the HRRMC Oncology Department, CFTT was elated the diners chose their seed purchasing as the evenings best presentation.
Wearing t-shirts and awesome corn hats, members talked about the fact that lower grant funding and fewer donations motivated them to present at the Soup, in hopes of raising money to purchase seeds for this year's crop. Since 2005 CFTT has grown and given away more than 1,000 tons of nutritious produce and every pound has been given to those in need. They supply local churches, Caring and Sharing, and many food banks across the state with healthy, fresh produce for those most in need. Last year they raised 315,000 pounds of fresh produce and gave 100% of it to help feed hungry families.
Congratulations to this important and enthusiastic organization!
