November's Salida Soup was the second annual Giving Thanks event - the last 10 winners of the Soup pot (December of the past year until October of the current year) were invited to come and give updates on their winning projects. The winners were also vying for the $250 prize from sponsor High Country Bank via the diners' votes.
Instead of voting with a ballot, however, diners traded their $5 entry fee for 5 Soup Bucks, which they distributed amongst the 10 winners. The organization having acquired the most Soup Bucks at the end of the night not only got to keep that money, but also won the HCB check!
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains walked away with the big winnings, closely followed by the Salida High School Drama Team, and the Salida High School Jazz Combo, respectively.
