The PfCA is focused on building a stronger community and a stronger community is supported by strong businesses. Whether you look at our programs to train local youth  in our workforce or advocating for more affordable housing, the PfCA wants to help create stronger businesses in Chaffee County!

The PfCA Classroom is located at Sellars Project Space @ Seasons Cafe, 300 West Sackett Avenue in Downtown Salida, Colorado.

Earlier this year we began working with local marketing extraordinaire, Monica Gutierrez of Mariposa Marketing (read more about her below), to help create a series of much needed classes that not only fit your schedule, your time constraints, and your pocketbook but teaches you useful and actionable methods to market your business.

Discounts are available for early-bird registration, to Salida Business Alliance members ($50 off), Chamber of Commerce members ($50), and multiple-class registrations (take all 3 and save). And if it's still out of your budget, apply for one of our PfCA Community Grants. We want to be sure that you have access to the tips, tools, and knowledge to make your business stronger.

This 3-session series runs three consecutive Wednesdays: January 24th through February 7th from 5 - 7 p.m. with light refreshments provided. The focus is to give you the knowledge of where to invest your marketing dollars (even if they're limited), how to find the marketing options that are right for you, when to alter or restart your marketing approaches, and how to do it all consistently.

You will learn:

  • Basic steps to building a strong marketing foundation.

  • Effective social media tips and techniques for small businesses.

  • How to properly use events to gain exposure and sales.

  • Creative promotion strategies for event attendance, brand exposure, audience engagement and sales.

  • Tips and techniques to stand out in a tourism economy, even during shoulder season.

  • How to setup and execute a basic Facebook Advertising campaign that gets results.

  • Actionable marketing tips you can apply to your business’s marketing strategy today.

  • How to make smart marketing decisions that increase your return on investment.
